Phase 3: Sounding Real

I’ve spent all of my time this year focused on learning how to write music. And after all of my hard work I feel I’m starting to get to grips with it. I’ve written a few pieces this year which I’m pretty proud of and whilst I still have a long way to go, I’m pleased with my progress so far. However, something I knew already (but was reiterated to me recently) was that the music on my SoundCloud doesn’t sound “real”. Sure it would sound real if it were played by a live orchestra, or a professional pianist on a grand piano, but those would be quite expensive methods of hearing my music! Instead, all I have is a computer performance by my iPad software, or the software instruments that come preinstalled with Logic Pro X. Therefore, in order to produce a “real” sound, I need to upgrade my kit.
